Monday June 11th, 2012 Events

Monday Night is all about gorgeous blooms, exceptional grapes and dancing shoes!

After Monday's full day of sessions and workshops, we have arranged for you to get out and smell the roses – or at least the hundreds of flowers blooming at Butchart Gardens, set in the heart of the gorgeous Saanich Peninsula! Over 55 stunning acres are yours to explore. Butchart Gardens is a Canadian Tourism "Signature Experience", a registered heritage site and considered one of the top garden tourism experiences in the world. If you have never been – this is your chance! There are shops, restaurants and gardens that were created over 100 years ago from what was once a limestone quarry. This is also a photographer's dream excursion!

Sign up! While this pre-dinner excursion is part of your delegate fee, we need to let Butchart Gardens know how many are coming! Please sign up at registration when you check in.

All Aboard: Buses depart starting at 4.45p.m. sharp in front of the Fairmont Empress Hotel for a ½ hour trip to the Gardens. You will then have over 1.5 hrs to explore Butchart Gardens before you board the buses again at 7:00 p.m. for a 5 minute drive back to Church + State Winery and the rest of the evening's festivities.

Church + State Wines
For those not visiting Butchart Gardens, buses will depart in front of The Fairmont Empress at 6:30 p.m. Twenty minutes later you will find yourself at the award-winning Church + State Winery in Brentwood Bay. You will taste some amazing BC wines, enjoy food prepared by acclaimed chef Candy Hartley and then kick up your heels to the Bryden Street House Party band. Buses will start returning back to Victoria at 8:30 p.m. and last call will be 10:30 p.m. Those who can't get enough of our nightlife, can head on over to the Sticky Wicket - our host pub for the conference!
