Pierre Gince, APR

Pierre Gince, APR, began his communications career more than 30 years ago. He started off as a print and radio journalist before becoming the advisor to a Quebec government minister. His extensive experience with prestigious public relations firms led him to create DIRECTION Strategic Communications in 1994. He divides his energy between DIRECTION's two sectors of activity-strategic consultation and media analysis. The clients Mr. Gince advises are working mainly with leaders in the health, agrifood and retail trade sectors, Pierre makes a significant contribution to many communications and public relations projects.

After earning the accredited in public relations (APR) designation from the Canadian Public Relations Society in 1995, Pierre helped create the Alliance of Quebec Public Relations Firms (ACRPQ) of which he is the vice-president. A well-known trainer and practitioner, Mr. Gince has taught upper level public relations courses for bachelor's students at UQAM. He is also an appreciated speaker at the Institute of strategies and techniques of communication (ISTC) of Lille, in France.

Since 2007, he represents the ACRPQ at the board of directors of the Quebec communications industry council (Conseil de l’industrie des communications du Québec).
