Derek Lothian

Derek Lothian is a 24-year-old public affairs executive based in Ottawa, and currently serves as national manager, communications, with Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) – Canada's largest trade and industry association. He also directs editorial content for CME's award-winning, bi-monthly magazine, 20/20.
Lothian began his career in 2004 as a reporter for a small-town Saskatchewan newspaper. From there, he went on to assume numerous senior leadership positions in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. He is an avid volunteer and sports enthusiast, and holds a diploma in public relations (honours) from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
