Brenda is recognized for her expertise in planning, executing and evaluating strategic communications and business initiatives within, and as a consultant to, a variety of broader public sector and corporate clients across southern Ontario.
At Kennedy Jones & Sweeney (KJ&S), Brenda has worked with clients to design and launch compelling strategic communications programs for external and internal audiences; create meaningful mission, vision and values statements; address complex communications challenges; and develop engaging curriculum and training materials in communications and public relations.
Before joining KJ&S, Brenda was the program coordinator for, and professor in, the Corporate Communications Program at Sheridan College in Oakville. There she introduced leading-edge courses in strategic communications, built industry partnerships and reinvigorated the program’s reputation for excellence in southern Ontario.
Brenda has been a member of CPRS since 2003 and is a past Accreditation Chair for CPRS Hamilton. She is also a member of Sheridan’s Corporate Communications Program Advisory Committee and a member of Scouts Canada’s National Committee on Marketing and Communications.
She has an MSc. in Journalism from Syracuse University and a BA (Hons) in Political Economy from the University of Toronto.
